Challenge:

This front yard landscape lacked visual interest with a lawn that was mostly growing moss. The clients wanted a front yard that was low maintenance and aesthetically appealing.

Solutions:

LandArc Landscaping & Design transformed this landscape into a Zen Rock Garden. All of the lawn was removed and the land was sculpted to form the base for a japanese inspired landscape. Large boulders were intentionally set to represent specific iconic figures, such as the dragon, the buddha, and the pillar of strength. Smaller stones were placed and raked in wave patterns to form the open ocean. A flagstone pathway weaves through the landscape leading to the front door. A wooden rake was built for the client to shape the stones in a meditative practice. LandArc Landscaping & Design has constructed a front yard with added curb appeal and low maintenance.
